Privacy notice

Last updated: October 2026

This notice explains how the UK China Luxury Industry Association (“UCLIA”, “we”) handles personal data in connection with this website. We keep it short because this website does very little with your data by design.

1. Who is responsible

UCLIA is a not-for-profit membership association based in London, United Kingdom. Until the Association is incorporated, it is operated by its founding company, XOR UK Corporation Limited, which acts as the data controller for the personal data described below. Our operation address is Unit 11-12, Stanhope Gate, Stanhope Road, Camberley, Surrey GU15 3DW, United Kingdom. You can contact us at info@uclia.co.uk.

2. What this website does not do

3. Server logs

Our web server records standard access logs, which include your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested and the time of the request. We use these logs only for security and to diagnose faults, and we keep them for a short period for that purpose.

4. Web fonts

This site loads no web fonts at all. Typography uses fonts already installed on your device, so no request is made to any third-party font service (such as Google Fonts) and your IP address is not shared with one.

5. If you email us

If you write to one of our addresses, we process your name, email address and whatever you choose to tell us in order to read and reply to your message. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries; if you become a member, we also process your details to perform our contract with you. We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months, and member records for the duration of membership plus any period required by law.

6. Sharing and international transfers

We do not sell or rent your data. We share it only with providers who help us run our organisation (for example email and hosting providers) and where we are required to do so by law. Some providers may process data outside the United Kingdom; where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards under UK data protection law.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

Write to info@uclia.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

8. Children

This website is aimed at businesses and professionals and is not directed at children.

9. Changes

We may update this notice from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.

10. Related policies

Our Code of Conduct and Competition Law Compliance Policy are provided to members as part of the membership pack and are available on request from membership@uclia.co.uk.
